skylight
updated October 12, 2026
what skylight does
skylight changes what a page's fullscreen button does: its own window, float on top, fill the tab, picture in picture or real fullscreen. It works entirely inside your browser and makes no network requests.
what it stores
The sites you've switched skylight off for, your default choice, and where the last window was. These stay in Chrome's own storage, synced by Chrome if you use sync. Nothing is sent to idiom.ltd or anyone else.
permissions
skylight's scripts run on every site so they're ready before you press a video's fullscreen button. They only respond to the page's own fullscreen requests and read no page content. The storage permission keeps your settings. activeTab lets the toolbar popup show the current site so you can switch skylight off there.
limited use
skylight collects no user data. There is no account, analytics, advertising, remote code or server run by us. This follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
